Riviera Hotel - Carcavelos (Lisbon)

Friendly interactions with housekeeping staff made me feel welcomed.

I encountered a disturbing issue on my first night, finding a cockroach in the bathroom, which definitely soured my experience. Although I didn't see any more throughout my stay, the initial shock left me uneasy. The breakfast offerings were quite limited and didn't meet my expectations. The eggs were often too cold or overcooked, lacking freshness and variety.

Gorgeous venue, OUTSTANDING food, absolutely perfect location to the beach 5min. Great-sized and well-appointed room with an early check in at 15:00. Excellent staff and delicious breakfast with good choice of options. Private parking behind the hotel provided. Very clean pool area too.

Were really surprised by the hotel's amenities, especially the peaceful pool area. Although breakfast was decent, it could offer more variety. The staff members, particularly at the reception, were always cute and helpful.

Good sized room in the ensuite as well as shower. Very clean pool, parking behind the hotel. Late check-out. Location close to the train station for the train line, the beach and good breakfast, and restaurants and supermarkets.

Cleaning is unfortunately completely inadequate. . Unfortunately the hotel was scaffolded, the scaffolding was covered with a net: Net view instead of sea view. Furthermore, the craftsmen were working from 7.30 am in front of the window. So one had to keep the curtain closed. After two days, rooms could be changed to a non-scaffolded part of the hotel. But not to the sea side. Price reduction...of course not.

The breakfast had a good variety of solid options, and the friendly staff made everything smoother. The location couldn't be better-close to the beach and a shopping center. Wi-Fi was a bit spotty, though.

The staff was most courteous. Breakfast was excellent. The workout facility meet my needs. The hotel adn rooms were very clean adn comfortable.

The bed was too hard for me. Dinner at the restaurant was not that good.

The buffet was very small in the selection. The interior of the hotel is a bit dated. The hotel room smelled badly of old sweat. We always had to ventilate.

The rooms were clean and spacious, but the air conditioning left us cold.

Great location and close to the nato Base, friendly staff, good accommodation, good room-service and best breakfast in Carcavelos so far. The hotel is not one of the modernest available, but a lot of recent technology/design is used. Definitely a Hotel I would recommend, especially if you're looking for something within the nato distance.

The Riviera Hotel is an excellent hotel and just a short stroll from the lovely beach of Carcavelos. It is also within walking distance of the local train which travels from Lisbon to Cascais stopping at different towns on the way. This turned out to be an excellent way to explore the Lisbon coastline without having to hire a car. The staff and service of the hotel were wonderful. Thanks for a great stay - we'll be back !!!
